It seems that the Guild's (Well, Twoq, Custer, ...'s) Designer's Mod enters a new era. This Mod, which evolved from the Mega Proto series, is the ultimate Mod and must-have for all designer's. (And for everybody who likes to play scenario's.)

The nifty new feature that's offered (Except for some cool new content items.) is an auto-installer/auto-uninstaller. This will make you able to go from the modded version of your game to the ESO-playable version of it in a few clicke-dee-clicks from your mousebutton.

Yes, the new E3 convention was upon us!
And it brought news, about the most expected game by die-hard Age of Empires fans all over the world, the expansion pack, coming out in this year's fall, Age of Empires III: The Asian Dynasties. The news came in the form of a trailer.
It shows us alot of the new units and buildings that are coming with the expansion pack. From elephant-cannons, to Asian temples, it has it all. The only downside I spotted at this trailer is that it went all too fast, and I had to rewind a number of times to clearly see some of the new units. But oh well, we can't have it all, now can we? (Of course not, if you had everything, where would you put it?)

Also, what I personally think is interesting enough to mention, is the news on the long awaited Spore, a game of which I'm surprised it hasn't been banned by Rome yet, for it's highly evolutionary character, but oh well... :p There has been an interview with the people from IGN.com, which I think to be a pretty nice interview, with a lot of information and even a new trailer! All can be found at this page.

Excuse us for the long time without a news update. This is partly because of we just didn't seem to get around to update, and partly because it's just cucumbertime and there is no news to post. (Actually, I'm not sure if they use the word cucumbertime in English... But, hey, I'm Belgian! :p)

So, I'll start off by saying congratulations to General_Black, who's sixteenth birthday it is today and to Poisonium, who will tomorrow finally be, as he puts it himself, "old enough to be legally at this site". You can go and congratulate them for walking on this planet's surface for such a long time in this thread.

Happy Birthday to the two of you!

On more Age of Empires related news, ES has decided to give us a sneak peek on what the box art will be for the new Age of Empires 3 expansion pack, "The Asian Dynasties". You can check it out at the official agecommunity site.

The official release of this box art is tomorrow, at the E3 convention in LA, where  Microsoft will present the first show. Keep yourself updated at the official E3 website, or just come to the Guild where (I hope) we will keep you updated on any Age of Empires related (or any interesting) news.

Also, the 7 Wonders of The Age of Mythology World Contest is nearing completion. A shortlist has been created of the twenty finalists of this competition, that has been put up to vote for the seven most beautiful, extraordinary, exceptional buildings made in the Age of Mythology history.

That's about all there is to say at the time being. I don't know when the next time will be we'll post here, but I think we might have some news on the Designer's Mod in some time.

Looks like they found new cheat codes for AoE3.

For those of you who need a recap on what the old cheats were, here they are:

  • A RECENT STUDY INDICATED THAT 100% OF HERDABLE ANIMALS ARE OBESE  Fattens every herdable animal on the map (such as sheep and cows)
  • <CENSORED>    10000+ Wood
  • GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME COIN   10000+ Coin
  • MEDIUM RARE PLEASE   10000+ Food
  • NOVA & ORION   10000+ XP
  • SOOO GOOD   Any unit that causes another unit's death will be displayed above the dead unit, similar to XP
  • SPEED ALWAYS WINS   Gather rate increased
  • THIS IS TOO HARD   Victory in Single Player
  • TUCK TUCK TUCK   Get red Monster truck
  • X MARKS THE SPOT   Removes black map, leaving only Fog of War.
  • YA GOTTA MAKE DO WITH WHAT YA GOT  Get Mediocre Bombard that shoots Tapirs instead of cannons
Now, kingdaniel4 made a new thread in the HG forums, where he talks about a cheat code he discovered where you have to type "blah blah blah"  (without quotation marks), but we are not yet sure what it does... Head over to his thread and discuss!

In the same thread, TinyPiesRUs talke about a cheat he seemed to have known for quite a while. Apparently, if you type "where's that axe?" (without quotation marks), you get the all famous George Crushington, which is like a monument for AoE3 gamers.

And just in case some of you didn't know anymore, you enter cheats the way you chat in AoE3.

Finally, after some scrounging, I got some information on this game. Designed by the company that made the AoM Board Game, we now have Age of Empires III: The Age of Discovery. Over 2 years have been spent in the making of this game.

The game challenges players to become the King (or Queen) of one of the great European nations during the age of exploration. On each turn, players allocate their colonists to various actions: exploration, colonization, trade, warfare, merchant shipping, upgrading (merchant, soldier, missionary, captain), or building a unique capital building. Each choice guides their nation toward a unique strategy.

* Over 300 stunning miniatures
* Historically accurate money (gold Spanish dollars and silver pieces of eight)
* Easy to learn European Style game system
* Multiple paths to victory
* Voted “Best of Origins” by several reviewers!
