The real estate market in the country is also eyed by the insurance companies, Forton International, associated representative of Cushman&Wakefield in Bulgaria, reported.

2006 was the year of the big talking about business and office projects, that means that 2007 will be the year, when all these deals will be concluded, according to Valeri Velchev- manager of Forton.

He added, that at the present moment  demand tangible exceeds supply and conservative players, like the pension funds, are just entering the  bansko property market now.

Causes for this boom are mainly the demand, the tourism and the increasing number of foreign investors in the country.

The average rise of the Apartments in Bulgaria prices for the country was about 20% in 2006, as in some parts of Sofia the growth was much higher.

AP reported that compared to the other European countries,the property investment return rates in Bulgaria and Romania are the highest.
The comment of the real estate agents was “the main catalyst for growth, lending more credibility … and attracting investors.
