I'm actually not dead (yet), and I've been doing TTE-related stuff during my (almost exactly!) one-year-long absence from this site. If you've been to the forums recently (meaning in the past... year or so), then you might have seen the test page where I am (*coughcough* was *coughcough*) working on a new template for the site! Yeah! I've got it all planned out in my head, I've drawn and screen-shot-ed all the new images I need (including a bunch of fairly schweet updates to the forum), and I've made new GM7 versions of all my games! That means the THIRD DEMO of Psychoid II (which has a TON of new features!), an INCREDIBLY IMPROVED version of Psychoid 1 (no more unbeatable level or messed-up trampolines!), a SLIGHTLY IMPROVED verison of Strike Explosion (with a couple graphical updates and new feature that lets you play Gyth's kick-ass "Strike On!" theme as the background music for any level you want), and a NOT-IMPROVED-IN-ANY-WAY version of Strike that nevertheless comes packaged with the font that lets the highscore table work properly. Oh, and PMBMP. Nothing new there. Since they're all Game Maker 7 games, they can run on Vista computers (unlike GM6 games, which are special like that), so that's sort of nice. To tell the truth, I've had all this stuff finished and sitting on the hard drive of my computer for at least like seven months or something, but I've been too busy to actually start updating the site. I'm still too tired to start rennovating 3 years' worth of HTML code and images, but I miiiiiiight be able to start soon. Maybe. Until then, just look forward to the prospect of a snazzy new look for the entire site, more-awesome verisons of virtually every game on here, pages that give information about WiP games that haven't progressed far enough to deserve demo releases, and maybe some new T-shirt designs. It might take me another whole year, but it'll be done eventually!

Until then, space fans!

EDIT: Oh, and look! Almost 900 hits! How nice.

Well, it's happened again. Another school year has come and gone, and although I didn't spend it building a website from scratch like last year, I still got a bit of site-related stuff done. A poem about Psychoid, two episodes of BTSBIULFF, multiple screenshots of each of my games, and a graphing-calculator paint program all ended up on the site over the past 9 months, so this year was hardly uneventful. However, all that stuff can't hold a candle to what I've just added! For you see, to celebrate another two-and-a-half-month-long period of freedom, I've added some majorly awesome new stuff!

First, and most majorly awesome, is Psychoid II... BETA VERSION TWO!! This new demo of my magnum opus contains four new levels (for a total of 10), completely redesigned cutscenes, and much, much more! No bosses yet, but I should be done with BETA version 2.5 in a month or two. BETA version 2 should be more than enough to tide you over until then.

Secondly, I've made the soundtrack to Strike Explosion (composed by the incredibly talented Gyth and PsionicGenome of GMG forums) available for download in the "Games" section! There's some pretty good music in there, and I highly recommend checking it out. I actually have "Strike On!" on my MP3 player. Yeah. It's that awesome.

Finally, I changed the rules in the forum so that they're a bit easier to understand. Nothing against the old rules, but they were almost THREE PAGES LONG! Who has the time to read that? These new rules are far more concise, and still cover just as much stuff as the old ones did.

TTE is free once more, and I'm celebrating it in style! Enjoy the new goodies, and be sure to keep checking back for more!

Well, we've finally reached 700 hits, but there aren't any really major updates to announce. I added a link to the homepage for Mr. Martin's show Life on Mental Block, but that's about it. Psychoid II, BETA version 2 is actually DONE, but I haven't put it in a .ZIP file yet. I'm planning a big update for two days from now (the last day of school!), so you'll only have to wait until then to enjoy its super-updated goodness.

Well, I've finally done it. There are now links to five or six new pages in the "Links" section! Now you can check out The Megaman Network, Damaged Games, OCRemix, and much more! But that's not all. Far from it.

For one thing, there's a NEW episode of Bliffy the Star Boy's Incredibly Useful Lactose-Free Facts in "Movies." The animation's pretty decent, and I'd reccommend checking it out. It might be worth a laugh or two. I also added a link to the new "trailer" for Bliffy the Star Boy (the game, not the Incredibly Useful Lactose-Free Facts). Watch it for some footage of my upcoming free-exploration action RPG sidescroller! (And if you've never been Rickrolled before)

Aaaaand, that's it. Sorry I haven't gotten around to putting up the second BETA version of Psychoid II. I just have to improve the opening cutscene, but I can't seem to muster the self-motivation to get started. Ah well. I might just skip the update, put up BETA version 2 now, and change the opening cutscene in a later version. If so, you can look forward to a new and improved Psychoid II in a couple of days! Be there, or be... um... Psychoid-less.

I finally musterered enough self-motivation to work on Psychoid 2, but instead of working on the final boss of Zone 1, I worked furiously on improving the menus, cutscenes, and overall difficulty of the game. There are now buildings in the main menu (and one brave fellow is standing on top of one), the TTE logo actually collides with Psychoid during the opening credits, the bullet particles are completely different, and coins now restore a tiny, tiny amount of health when you grab them (kudos to Phink for that idea). Finally, and most importantly, there are now checkpoints every three levels, rather than every five. This allows for a checkpoint before each boss battle (which is the 10th level of the zone), as well as giving people the opportunity to save more. This also means that I don't need to finish the boss battle to release BETA version 2! All I need to do is re-make the opening cutscene, and change the way the text boxes look (which entails changing all 51 frames of the opening text-box's sprite). But, rather than being boring, I like doing this! Expect the new BETA version in... a week or two.

...Which brings me to the reason I posted this. PsychoidWear! Somebody requested I make a Psychoid hoodie, and I complied, as well as making a T-shirt version, and similar hoodies and T-shirts featuring the Lord of the Brain and one of the innocent civillians from Psychoid II. If you're a Psychoid enthusiast, or like walking around with a massive vector-graphic of little round guys on your chest, go check out the Shop!

I have some more site goodies that I was going to add, but I can't find the jumpdrive they're saved on. Once I find it, I'll add both them and some new links for the "Links" section! Until then, buy a Psychoid hoodie. They're sexy!!

Finally! We've reached 600 hits! I don't know why everybody
wants to hit my poor website, or what they're hitting it with (probably
kayak paddles, those villains), but it's nice to know that people
besides me look at this site on occaision. Okay, 200 of those 600
hits were probably me checking to see how many hits there were, but
still...

Sadly, I haven't got any site-related news to report right now.
I'll probably expand the "Links" section soon (how could I not put a
link to OCRemix?!), and I've choreographed and drawn all the sprites
for Psychoid II's first boss, so I'll probably have BETA version 2 done
in... oh... a month or so. Hey, I'm bad at self-motivating, okay?

Here's a little tip for those who are making their own websites. Make the "News" section (or whatever you want to call it) first, then start work on the actual website. Every time some little thing is added or changed, post a big news entry announcing it. That way, by the time you're done working on the site, you'll have 3+ pages of news. That's what I did. However, once all the updating is done, and the site radiates perfection in every way, you sort of run out of material for news entries. It's been, what, about two months since I last posted something here? I just haven't been able to think of anything that needs fixing or improvement. Thankfully, I've finally come up with enough material to warrant a "News" entry. Here it is, in list form:

I've added another screenshot of Psychoid to the "Games" section. Actually, I did this a while ago, but what kind of person goes crazy over a single screenshot?

I've fixed the "Shop" page so that the fancy shaded bullets work there, too. I also added a new type of shirt! It's white, it's got long sleeves, and there's a little TTE logo where the left-hand pocket would be.

I'm almost done with the first zone of Psychoid II! I only have to finish the boss fight before I can release BETA version 2!

Lastly, and most importantly, I've added tons of new art to my DeviantART page! There's some new concept art, several pictures created with an "Inversion-Bliffy" tool I made, and... Darc with Astro-Boy hair?! If you like art, I'd reccomend checking it out. It's in "Other."

...And that's about it. Hopefully I'll be able to come up with another news entry in a month or so. Until then... never forget to bring a towel.

...As of 8 days, 16 hours, and 56 minutes ago ago. Hey, I was on vacation, and couldn't get to a computer and post this on the actual new year. So I guess this is more of a "Happy New January 8th at 4:56 PM" kinda deal.

Ah, well. No matter what your religion is, the beginning of a new year is pretty darn cool. Which is nice, because I don't really have a religion.

I read a couple really critical reviews of PMBMP v.1 on GameMakerGames, and therefore decided (even though it had gone through 5 unannounced but distinct updates since then) that the self-styled "World's Biggest Crossover Game" was due in for another upgrade. And boy, did I upgrade it! Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you... Pacman Mario Bomberman Megaman Pong v.7!!

Version 7 features a bunch of new stuff, including a completely redesigned help file, a much better-animated Megaman in the main menu, an all-new Hard Mode, an updated Normal/Co-Op Mode in which grabbing 100 coins gives you an extra life, Mario-style, and the removal of several annoying bugs and inconsistencies. You can read the full list of updates in the "Changes" file that's included with the game. To play PMBMP v.7, head on over to "Games." Take that, GMG critics!!
